Farm Fun Activities

We’re getting ready for another fall season at Wayside Farm Fun, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the farm! Opening day for 2026 is September 19, and we’re looking forward to another season filled with pumpkins, corn maze adventures, hayrides, pig races, and families making memories together.

We’re grateful to be part of so many families’ fall traditions and can’t wait to see familiar faces and meet new ones this year. See you at the farm this fall!

Pumpkin Patch

Pumpkins of every shape, color and size are plentiful in our 8-acre u-pick pumpkin field. There is no admission to enter the pumpkin field - you pay for just what you pick.

Pig Races

Pigs are smart and our special racing pigs know the quickest way around the track, through the water and home. Pick your favorites and cheer them on!

Races take place at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Goat Walk

Goats defy gravity and they love to play! Take a stroll underneath our friendly goats perched 20 feet in the air and stand in amazement at their balance.

Farm Animals

Wayside Farm animals are super friendly, cute and love attention. Calves, goats, lamas, donkeys and more!

Pumpkin Playhouse

Crawl inside a giant pumpkin and play till your hearts content. That's right, Wayside Farm has it's very own giant pumpkin playland for you to enjoy.

Farm Slides

We have turned farm equipment into a playground with slides and forts. Our mega slide stands 30 feet in the air and offers great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains before you go down.

Kids Playyard

Roping, pedal tractor racing, corn cribs and more to enjoy with your family.

Pumpkin Smashing

What else can we say, this is a MUST see! Don't sit too close or you might get splashed!

Hayrides

Enjoy a scenic ride out to our pumpkin patch for an afternoon picking your own pumpkins!

Duck Races

It's a race to the finish in this rubber ducky race! Pump the most water to make your duck reach the end!

Farm Game Boards

Are you a puzzle mastermind? Use your skill to make your way through these fun mind puzzles!

Hay Mountain

Crawl through tunnels, down slides and all around this mountain of straw bales.

Jumping Pillow
